ACI provides BIM Professional Training

ACI provides BIM Professional Training

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the process of generating and managing for building data during its design, construction and during the building all throughout the whole life cycle of the built asset.  BIM enables a virtual information shared-based model to be handed from the design team (architects, surveyors, engineers or various disciplines) to main contractors, sub-contractors and then to the owner/ operator, allowing information sharing across disciplines.

Use of BIM goes beyond the planning and design phase of the project; it supports cost management, construction management, project management and facility operation.  This reduces loss of information that traditionally occurs when a new team takes “ownership” of the project.  BIM provides extensive information to facilitate project management, better construction process control, cross-disciplinary collaboration, effective communication with external stakeholders, better decision support and risk management.

Our professional trainer is a pioneer in applying BIM and virtual construction simulation technology with vast experience in construction management and has participated in several BIM projects worldwide.  Upon completion of this training course, the participants should be able to have a basic understanding of BIM Models, and how BIM can help in managing the project program, tracking the work progress of each trade and preventing abortive work.  This training is suitable for Building Engineers or BS Engineers working for Building/ Structural/ Building and Contracting Services or anyone who is interested in exploring this field.
