Accredited Certification International Limited (Accredited Certification International) has recently awarded ISO 50001 Energy Management System certificate to Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) with the certification scope of ‘Management, operation and maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Headquarters’. EMSD is one of the first few Government Departments of HKSAR to have been awarded this certification, demonstrating her achievement in this area.
ISO 50001 is an international standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system. The main objective is to improve energy-related performance and keep energy efficiency continuously and to identify energy reduction opportunities.
As a responsible corporate, EMSD used to promote efficient use of energy to ensure both the wiser use of the world’s resources as well as generating less pollution in the production of energy.
