Introduction
Auditing the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) of an organization as a third party, independently and partially, is sometimes becomes very tricky and difficult. Since the performance of a full OHSMS can only be identified by audits. Identification of the OHSMS performance and effectiveness requires auditors with special knowledge and skills. This course is designed for preparing them with relevant skills and knowledge to carry out audits of OHSMS against ISO 45001:2018 requirements.
This five day course provides an opportunity for participants for preparing the auditors with such knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of occupational health and safety management systems against ISO 45001, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.
Participants who passed the continuous assessment and the written examination will be awarded a an CQI and IRCA Certified certificate which designate fulfillment of the training requirements for CQI and IRCA Lead Auditor registration.
Objectives and Achievements
On completion of the training you will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of an occupational health and safety management system and third-party certification, and the business benefits of improved performance of the occupational health and safety management system
- Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an occupational health and safety management system audit against ISO 45001:2018 standard, and in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as appropriate

- Staff who are charged with the responsibility to develop and maintain an ISO 45001
- All ISO 45001 auditors who wish to acquire an internationally recognized auditor status
Attendance
Full course attendance is required. (If learners are absent, they may be given the opportunity to catch up on parts of the programme missed. However any catch-up activity would be at the tutor's discretion and would only be allowed if not to the detriment of other learners.)
CERTIFCATE AND CPD:
Certificate of successful Completion will be awarded delegates who have attended full course. An e-Certificate will only be granted. You may be able to claim CPD hours for your membership at professional bodies.
